Currently, Oleocampo is an organization made up of a bottling plant and six production centers: San Bartolomé, Santa Catalina and La Unión from Torredelcampo; Consolación and Nueva Esperanza from Torredonjimeno; and San Francisco de Asís from Villardompardo. All of them are located in the province of Jaén and were established in 1952, 1966, 1982, 1952, 1981, and 1973 respectively. These centers produce extra virgin and virgin olive oil, which is then bottled and marketed by Oleocampo.
OLEOCAMPO, a First-Degree Andalusian Cooperative Society, has as its purpose, among others, the industrial processing of all products and by-products of the olive grove originating from its production centers, their marketing and sale both in domestic and international markets, as well as lending activities carried out through its Credit Section, whose aim is to obtain the necessary financing for the cooperative and its members.
Today, nearly 4,000 members make up OLEOCAMPO, organized under a governing board. A shared effort to obtain, year after year, the finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which—true to the quality of the soils and the care with which farmers cultivate the olive tree—offers flavor, freshness, and low acidity each season.
Recently, a merger project has been carried out involving the first-degree Andalusian cooperatives that were part of the Oleocampo Group, resulting in a single entity for the integration, management, and control of all its processes, with the aim of continuously improving internal processes focused on creating value for its members and customers.
For the members of the group, there is a Credit Section and a Member Services Department that provides assistance with the single payment scheme, income tax returns, occupational risk prevention, and social security registrations and deregistrations. They also have access to Fuel and Phytosanitary Units, as well as advisory services on pest and disease management in olive cultivation.
The recently created R&D&I Department is developing projects to promote renewable energy by making use of olive grove by-products. It is also researching and demonstrating the many health benefits that extra virgin olive oil provides to the human body, and dedicating efforts to creating prototypes for harvesting traditional hillside olive groves. Oleocampo is committed to reducing harvesting costs and improving the profitability of traditional olive farms.
In line with its values, Oleocampo is committed to fostering a well-trained future generation of young people. To this end, it develops training and internship agreements with various public bodies and institutions in the field of education, such as the Regional Ministry of Education—focused on International Trade and Olive Oil—and the University of Jaén, through master’s programs such as Olive Growing, Olive Oil and Health, or degree programs in Business Administration and Management, Biology, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering, as well as doctoral programs such as Food Safety or Olive Oil.
Oleocampo markets extra virgin olive oil throughout Spain as well as internationally, being present in major global markets such as China, India, the United States, Uruguay, Panama, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany. Oleocampo is a solid company that combines experience and expertise in all aspects related to the national and international marketing of olive oils, and has established itself as a benchmark at both provincial and national levels, ranking among the top 30 olive oil marketers in Spain.
